The only way that we can avoid the most catastrophic impacts of a warming climate is to take serious action to protect the oceans. This ambition starts at the national level by including ocean solutions in Canada’s forthcoming Nationally Determined Contribution it will submit to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
