Oceans North is a nonprofit organization that fosters science- and community-based conservation in the Arctic regions of Canada and Greenland. Our goal is to promote policies and programs that address the unprecedented environmental changes taking place in the North and ensure that its waters are protected within the framework of Inuit knowledge, rights and consultation.

Our Story

Oceans North is chartered under the laws of British Columbia, with staff in Ottawa, Winnipeg, Halifax and Nunavut. We have extensive relationships and partnerships with scientists, natural resource managers and Inuit organizations and communities in Canada and Greenland. Oceans North is governed by a board of directors.
